Workout Hair..How To Tackle The Frizz
Your body is hot and sweaty and you feel absolutely amazing after that spin class you just attended. You know that you can conquer the rest of your work week because you put everything into finishing the last section of that ride. You enter the women’s locker room to freshen up for your journey home and you catch a glimpse of yourself in the full length mirror. Your freshly done hair hair looks like a birds nest! It’s Sunday night and your hair stylist is not available on Monday. You already spent a chunk on getting your hair done that Saturday but now your hair is a hot sweaty mess.
What are you going to do? Yes! Call out of work on Monday, head over to your stylist early on Tuesday morning and definitely skip the gym for the rest of the week right? In fact, the gym then becomes your absolute last priority at that moment…
A great deal of women have been reluctant to join the fitness movement because of not wanting to deal with sweaty, messy hair after a workout. This might be understandable as most of us wear hairstyles which do not allow us to wash our hair everyday after a workout, but it cannot continue to be an excuse for women to decline from engaging in healthy physical activity.
There are women who will be able to wash their hair after a good workout. For those women I recommend focusing on a great moisture retaining conditioner. This is required because hair that is often washed may tend to dry out a great deal and dry hair gets frizzy and tangles! A great moisturizing conditioner is going to replenish lost moisture and assist in detangling your hair effectively, leaving you with a great workout and a happy head of hair. Its a win, win!
